Weslet

Frequently asked questions

Everything about how Weslet works — directions, connections, trust and money. Still stuck? Reach us from the Contact page.

Basics

Is Weslet free?

Yes. Posting and connecting are free right now, and Weslet takes no cut of the traveler's commission.

Which directions does Weslet cover?

Wishes go one way — you're in Tunisia, wanting something bought abroad. Parcels and trips go both ways: to Tunisia and from Tunisia. And the diaspora is worldwide — France, Canada, the US, Germany, the Gulf and beyond.

What's the difference between a wish and a parcel?

A wish is an item that doesn't exist yet on your side — a traveler buys it abroad and brings it. A parcel is something you already have, carried by the kilo.

Do I need an account to post?

Yes — a quick signup, then you can post a wish, a parcel or a trip. Browsing is open to everyone.

Does Weslet handle any payment between users?

No. You arrange the item's price and the traveler's commission directly between yourselves, off the platform. Weslet never holds your money.

Making a connection

How do I connect with a traveler?

Post your wish or parcel. A traveler on your route proposes to carry it, you accept, and your contacts are exchanged.

Can I contact a traveler directly?

Yes. On a trip's page, attach one of your wishes or parcels and ask that traveler. It's free, with no commitment — WhatsApp numbers are exchanged only if the traveler accepts.

When do we exchange WhatsApp numbers?

Only after a connection is accepted — never before, and never publicly.

How long does a request stay open?

48 hours. If it isn't answered, it expires automatically and you're notified by email — you can then try again or reach another traveler.

What if nobody answers my request?

It simply expires after 48 hours — nothing is lost. Post again, adjust it, or ask a different traveler.

Is my phone number public?

Never. It's shared only with the other person, and only once you've accepted a connection.

During & after the handover

Can I follow the delivery?

Yes. The traveler marks each step — bought or collected, in transit, ready to hand over — and both of you see it.

How do reviews work?

Only the two people in a confirmed handover can review each other, once each. That's what makes a rating on Weslet mean something.

When can I leave a review?

As soon as either side confirms the handover.

What if the other person doesn't show up?

Report it from the connection. No-shows lose visibility on Weslet — the penalty is reputation, never a charge.

Trust & sharing

How do I know a traveler is trustworthy?

Open their public profile and read their reviews and completed-delivery count. Reputation is built only through real, confirmed handovers.

Can I get a shareable link to my profile?

Yes. On your account page you can claim a clean weslet.com/user/your-name link.

What's the QR code on my account for?

It's a downloadable QR code of your profile — show it in person or share it in a group so people find your listings and reviews.

Can I make my listing stand out?

Optionally, yes. Bump floats a listing back to the top of the list, and Boost features it above the rest for a week. Both are one-off paid options — visibility only, nothing else.

Money & safety

How much does a traveler earn?

It's agreed directly between the two sides — usually a share of the item's price for a purchase, or a rate per kilo for a parcel. Weslet doesn't set it and takes none of it.

Should I pay anything before delivery?

Be careful. Never send money to someone you can't verify. Agree clearly on how and when you pay, keep it between you, and keep proof.

Can I inspect a parcel before carrying it?

Yes — and you should. Travelers should always see a parcel open and check its contents before agreeing to carry it.

How do you keep spam out if it's free?

Every request is tied to a real listing, each person can only have a few open at once, and contact details are shared only after acceptance. Add reviews and one-click reporting, and low-effort spam doesn't pay off.
