1. What Weslet does
Weslet is a platform connecting people who want an item or a parcel moved ("wishers" or senders) with diaspora travelers who agree to carry it ("travelers"). A wish is an item to be bought abroad and brought to Tunisia; a parcel is an existing item carried in either direction, to or from Tunisia; and travelers may be heading to or from Tunisia.
Weslet is neither a carrier, nor a seller, nor a travel agency, nor a payment intermediary, nor the employer or agent of its users. The platform is limited to the introduction: everything that follows the exchange of contacts is exclusively between users, who contract in their own name and at their own risk. Weslet is not a party to any agreement made between users.
2. Payments between users
The purchase of the item, the reimbursement of its price and the traveler's commission are agreed and settled directly between users, outside the platform. Weslet never holds funds on behalf of users and takes no commission on these exchanges.
Each user is solely responsible for their own tax, social-security and reporting obligations arising from their transactions — notably the traveler's commission, which may constitute taxable income depending on their situation.
Recommendation: agree in writing (WhatsApp) on the price, the commission and the handover location before any purchase, and keep the receipt.
3. Customs and prohibited items
The traveler is solely responsible for what they carry, for customs declarations and for compliance with the allowances and laws of Tunisia and the departure country. In turn, whoever requests or ships an item warrants that it is lawful in both countries and exactly matches the published description. For parcels: open handover with the traveler inspecting the contents before accepting — the golden rule, no exceptions.
Strictly prohibited on the platform: weapons, narcotics, counterfeits, prescription-free medicines, cash, animals, unauthorized perishables, and any item illegal in either country. Such wishes are removed and the account suspended.
4. Free use and paid options
Launch period: using Weslet is currently free — no fee is required to post, offer, ask or accept. We may introduce paid features in the future; any such change would be announced with reasonable notice (email or banner) and would apply only to services going forward.
Paid promotion (optional): you may pay to make one of your listings more visible — to "Bump" it back to the top of the list, or "Boost" it (pinned and flagged as "featured" for a set period). This is a visibility service only: it does not influence reviews or the outcome of a connection, and grants no priority beyond display. Payment is one-off and prices shown at payment are final.
Promotion — withdrawal and incidents: by purchasing a promotion you expressly request its immediate performance and acknowledge that the 14-day right of withdrawal ceases to apply once the service has been performed in full. A "Bump" is performed instantly: the withdrawal right no longer applies as soon as it is applied. A "Boost" is performed over its whole duration: if you withdraw while it is still running, we refund the price less the proportion already served. If a paid promotion fails to apply for a technical reason on our side, or if we remove the listing concerned through our own error, it is refunded in full on request via the Contact page. If your account is suspended or removed for breach of these terms, a running promotion may be stopped without refund.
5. Eligibility, accounts and security
The platform is reserved for adults (18+) with legal capacity. One account per person, with accurate, up-to-date information. You are solely responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
Prohibited: multiple accounts, impersonation, automated data collection (scraping), and any use of the platform for unlawful purposes.
6. Contact details and connections
By accepting a connection, both users consent to the mutual exchange of their contact details (name and WhatsApp number). These details are never public, are shared only at that moment, and may be used only for the transaction concerned — any reuse (solicitation, resale, publication) is prohibited. This rule applies whichever way the request flows: offered by a traveler, or addressed to a traveler about their trip.
7. Listing content and moderation
You remain the owner of the content you post (text, photos) and warrant that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe third-party rights. You grant Weslet a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, reproduce, resize and adapt that content solely to operate and promote the platform. This includes generating preview images ("share cards") combining your photo and your listing title, so that your listing link displays correctly when shared on third-party services (WhatsApp, Facebook, search engines). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to copies already cached or archived by those third-party services, which we neither control nor can recall.
Weslet hosts listings with no general monitoring obligation. We may nonetheless remove any content, hide any listing or refuse any publication, in particular following a report or when an automated filter detects contact details. Where we remove content, reduce a listing's visibility, or suspend an account, we notify the affected person with the specific reason, the contractual or legal ground relied on, and how to contest the decision via the Contact page; we aim to answer a contestation within 14 days. Unlawful content can be reported via the report button or the Contact page; reports are reviewed within a reasonable time and, where practicable, the reporter is informed of the outcome.
Reviews may only be published after a confirmed delivery between the two users concerned and must be truthful, based on a real experience. We may remove a review that is manifestly fraudulent, abusive or unlawful, but we do not remove a review merely because it is negative. To preserve the reliability of track records, reviews may be kept in anonymized form after an account is deleted.
Rights holders (trademarks, copyright) may notify us of an infringement via the Contact page; the listings concerned may be removed and repeat infringers terminated. The platform itself (name, logo, texts, interface, code) belongs to its operator — any reproduction or extraction is prohibited.
Weslet may publish its own demonstration listings to illustrate how the service works; they are retired as the community grows. Improvement suggestions you send us may be used freely, with no obligation or compensation.
8. Behavior, sanctions and termination
No-shows after acceptance, spam, fake listings, harassment and any fraud attempt lead, at our discretion, to: strikes, loss of visibility, suspension or removal of the account.
We may suspend or terminate an account at any time for violation of these terms, behavior endangering other users, or legal obligation. You may delete your account at any time from the My account page.
In case of an abusive payment dispute ("chargeback") with your bank regarding a purchase, we reserve the right to suspend the account.
9. No warranty and liability
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind: no continuous availability, no absence of errors, no outcome (no guarantee that a wish finds a traveler or vice versa).
Weslet guarantees neither delivery, nor quality, nor conformity, nor lawfulness of items, nor payment between users, nor the identity or reliability of users. Each user assesses their counterpart before committing. Any dispute about a transaction (item, price, commission, handover, delay, loss, damage, customs) is exclusively between the users concerned; Weslet has no obligation to mediate. To the extent permitted by law, you release Weslet, its operator and its providers from any claim, demand or damages arising out of disputes between users.
To the extent permitted by law: Weslet is not liable for indirect damages (loss of profit, opportunity, data, moral prejudice); its total liability, all causes combined, is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for any service (for example a paid promotion) in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) one hundred euros (EUR 100). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded (fraud, gross negligence, personal injury). If you contract as a consumer, you keep the benefit of the mandatory legal guarantees applicable to digital services — these terms do not limit them.
Weslet is not responsible for failures due to events beyond its reasonable control (force majeure, outages of hosting or payment providers, administrative decisions).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Weslet, its operator, its directors, staff, providers and affiliates from any claim, fine, damage or cost (including reasonable defense costs) arising from: your transactions with other users, the items you request, ship or carry, your customs or tax violations, the content you post, or your breach of these terms.
This obligation applies to the fullest extent permitted by law. Where you act as a consumer, it is limited to claims arising from your intentional misconduct or gross negligence — it does not place the consequences of an honest mistake on you.
11. Governing law and disputes with Weslet
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the platform's operator is established, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protections of the law of their country of residence. Any dispute with Weslet will first be subject to an amicable resolution attempt via the Contact page; failing that, the competent courts will have jurisdiction.
Consumers: you will be able to use a consumer mediation service free of charge; the competent mediator will be designated and named here upon incorporation of the operating company. Until then, any complaint is handled as a priority via the Contact page, without prejudice to your right to bring the matter before the courts or any competent authority.
12. Listing ranking and reviews
Ranking (C. consom. art. L.111-7): listings are ranked first by paid promotion — a "Boosted" listing is pinned above the others for the period purchased and marked "⭐ Featured" — then by recency (a paid "Bump" moves a listing back to the top of that second layer), with trips then ordered by soonest arrival. No other criterion affects display order: not the value of a transaction, not reviews, not any ownership link. Paying for a promotion affects display position only.
Reviews (C. consom. art. L.111-7-2): only the two participants of a connection whose handover was confirmed in the app may leave a review, once each — so a review cannot be left by someone who did not actually deal with you. Reviews are not otherwise verified and are not purchased; they are published with their date and cannot be edited after publication. We reject a review only if it is fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, or contains contact details. We offer no consideration in exchange for a review.
13. Miscellaneous
These terms may evolve; significant changes are notified (email or banner) with reasonable notice before they take effect, and the dated version prevails. Continuing to use Weslet after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised version; if you do not accept it, you may delete your account at any time from the My account page, free of charge. If a clause is held invalid, the others remain in force. Not exercising a right is not a waiver of it. These terms are the entire agreement between you and Weslet regarding the platform.
The service itself evolves: we may modify, suspend or discontinue any or all features at any time. Should the platform shut down permanently, reasonable notice will be given where possible.
The operator may transfer these terms and the operation of the platform to an entity it controls or that succeeds it (for example upon incorporation), without your prior consent; your account, however, is personal and non-transferable. The sections on content, warranties, liability, indemnification and governing law survive account closure.
